May 7: A woman found an injured pit bull in the middle of Low Ground Road. A deputy got in touch with the county vet about how to care for the dog overnight. Four days later, the vet had fixed the problem and the dog was taken by a rescue group.

May 8: A man said someone stole his keys and a pistol from his locked car on Squirrel Drive in the Eden area.

May 8: A man said his ex-wife has been harassing him, threatening to come by his girlfriend’s house and drop off their children.

May 8: A man walking on Allison Road in the Guyton area was bitten on the leg by a dog. The owner said the dog is up-to-date on its shots.

Loud music

May 8: A drunken, belligerent man played music so loud at 4 p.m. that it could be heard a mile away. Little McCall Road in the Springfield area.

May 8: A couple argued and he packed her things and took them to her mother’s house. She said she wanted to leave but had nowhere to stay.

May 8: A $2 bill and a chainsaw were taken from an unlocked residence on Lemans Drive in the Bloomingdale area.

May 9: A deputy followed a vehicle from the Courthouse parking lot because it had no insurance. He tried to stop it, but the driver kept going until another deputy stopped in front of him. He was arrested for no insurance and fleeing or attempting to elude.

May 10: A deputy confirmed that a dog that bit a child was current on its vaccines and quarantined at an animal hospital. E. Deerfield Road in the Bloomingdale area.

May 10: A drill and tile saw worth $1, 600 were stolen from a job site on Wrigley Field Drive in the Guyton area. Twenty-five boxes of wood flooring also were taken.

May 10: Deputies responded to a burglar alarm on Sand Hill Road in the Guyton area. Someone had pried open the back door of a house.

May 10: A woman said her boyfriend beat her head against the door and bit her ankle. She said they were arguing like they usually do and she isn’t afraid of him.

May 10: A woman said an object hit her vehicle as she traveled on Ga. 17 and Courthouse Road Extension in the Guyton area.

May 10: A pistol was stolen from an unlocked pickup truck on Ga. 21 N. in the Springfield area.

Drone complaint

May 10: A 55-year-old resident of Old Lake Road in the Guyton area said he was flying his drone close to his neighbor’s house and the neighbor threatened to shoot it down. A deputy told the neighbor to call 911 to document the incidents for a nuisance complaint.

May 11: A woman said her drunken husband yelled and cursed at her. His mother was given a criminal trespass warning to leave the house and he was arrested for breaking a light bulb.

May 11: A man said his girlfriend slashed his tire because she was mad that he wouldn’t take her to a friend’s house. McCall Road in the Springfield area.

May 11: More than $1, 000 worth of items, including a weed trimmer, were stolen from an unlocked shed on Ga. 119 N. in the Clyo area.
